NOTE: Because of my accent, many people think that my name is Denny, so this page is for all people typing my name as Denny Steyn instead of Danny Steyn. The correct spelling of my first name is in fact Danny.

BIOGRAPHY - Denny Steyn - PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER FORT LAUDERDALE

Denny Steyn is an accomplished professional photographer with over 20 years of experience.  Starting his photographic career while still at school, Danny, at the ripe old age of 13, had his first sports photos published way back in 1973 in "The Star" - the major South African daily national evening newspaper.

This early success prompted a freelance photojournalist career, and Denny Steyn started supplying the national magazines and journals with his photos in the early 80's. 

Denny Steyn had his photos published in most major South African magazines, with regular covers and features in monthly magazines such as SCOPE, SPORTS ILLUSTRATED,  PENTHOUSE, STYLE, STAR, SATYR, SQUIRE, STAG and a host of other well known publications.

In the 80's, Denny Steyn grudgingly relented and started photographing weddings for a few chosen close friends and discovered that not only was he really good at bringing his photojournalistic style and craft to the wedding business, but he found himself actually enjoying the weddings he photographed. 

Denny Steyn graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1983, underscoring his strong technical competence. Denny Steyn emigrated to the USA in 1993, and after traveling the entire USA, finally settled in Fort Lauderdale from where he operates to this day. The excellent airports in Fort Lauderdale and Miami serve his international travel assignments well, and the proximity to the Caribbean Islands and Bahamas has him regularly taking photographic assignments in the tropical islands.

Denny Steyn's strong business sense has resulted in a very successful array of businesses encompassing a wide range of interests. Despite the demands of these businesses, Denny Steyn has continued to drive his photography and videography business with the relentless enthusiasm that you only get from doing something you love, and this has resulted in a prosperous business complete with home based Studio in central Fort Lauderdale.

To this day Denny Steyn photographs one premium wedding each month for select clients, and still gets a kick out of being part of this wonderful day in the lives of complete strangers.

True to his past, Denny Steyn mainly concentrates his cameras on subject matter that appeals to him. Denny Steyn can always be found photographing beautiful women, taking headshots of actors and models, photographing fast cars and bikes, active extreme sports, and fitness models.
